The Italian Job

You knew that title was coming this morning, didn't you?!

I thought I'd include a picture of Lee Byrne going over on Saturday (he comes from Bridgend too!) My Spanish readers may recognise the celebration as he did the same when he beat England.

It's been a bit of a milestone this weekend as I tried orange food for the first time.

At first I wasn't sure...

...but I soon got the hang of it and even tried to do it myself in the end

Mam and Dad have also let me have a go of my new toy...it's ACE! You can press all sorts of things and it makes noises and there's a big sun and a button that goes "moooo!" and some things that roll around and, well, it's got more than you need.

After all that excitement I think I need a lie down.

Over and out.

Testing...1...2...3...

Anyone out there?

I heard that some of you have not been getting the emails from the blog so I'm trying to fix it.

Here's a test card while you wait.

If you get this email but have not had one for a while you may want to click the link below to catch up.

If this doesn't work I'll have to get Dad on the case.

Fingers crossed.

21 Weeks

Yup - believe it or not, I was 21 weeks old on Saturday. Where is all the time going?

It's been a fairly quiet week so I think the blog will be fairly short today. There were no games in the Six Nations and Dad doesn't want me to mention the football for some reason.

I've managed to get into my high chair this week even if I need to be strapped in.

I'm not eating in it yet because the chair doesn't have a Mam attachment but I don't think it will be long before the inevitable 'food round mouth' photo.

I've been especially smiley this week. Perhaps it has been due to the weather.

I've also perfected the 'I get what I want' look.

My teeth are trying to get through which is a bit of a pain but it does mean that I get extra cuddles and attention in the middle of the night.

The last photo was not taken in the middle of the night. Mam is almost smiling.

Andt that's about it apart from I have been playing with some of my new toys. All together now..."Yes my name is Iggle Piggle..."

Have a great week.

Two Down, Three To Go

What a marvellous weekend of sport! Wales continued their mighty stroll towards winning the Six Nations and (whisper) a Grand Slam, Italy nearly beat England and Man City spoiled the party at Old Trafford...nice.

After the match on Saturday afternoon, me and Dad had a game of indoor rugby. We didn't have a small enough ball so I used my cloth book instead. Dad was Scotland and I was Shane Williams. Here's a photo of us re-enacting Shane's second try. Notice how I've left Dad for dust and that my foot is clearly inside the pink pig.

Classic.

My friend Millie came over last week for a play. It's always nice to see her and this time she showed me how some of my toys worked.

My Bumbo is cheaper than Millie's. I think she has one of the expensive ones that you can't see.

I'm enjoying going outside more and more. Here's me humouring Dad on a recent trip out.

Yes, yes, yes, I really like that song now can I have a feed, please?

The weather in Wales was tropical this weekend so Mam & Dad took me to the seaside. I was asleep last time they went to Porthcawl and they didn't go on the beach so this was my first time, really. I think I might be able to have some real fun here in the future.

It was also a change to try another hat out. I particularly liked this one as it was the same as Mam's...kinda.

And that was about it. Except for a big sleep after all that fresh air. Was a bit of a weird sleep, mind you. I had a funny dream in which the pink pig came back and said the video referee reckons my try should be disallowed...yeah...right!

19-26!

This weekend saw the start of the Six Nations rugby competition. It's the first one I've seen and, so far, it's brilliant!

I'd better give a quick overview of the tournament for my overseas readers. Every year Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, India and Johnny Wilkinson get together to play against each other to see who is the best. Wales' first game was against Johnny who was called England this year because they scored a try.

It was a bit tense in the middle but it seemed easy in the last few minutes.

A very comfortable 19-26 win! Dad was so pleased that he decided to paint the walls red and didn't even notice that his jeans were falling down.

In fact, it all got a bit too much after the match and Mum had to watch a double episode of 'In The Night Garden' with me to try and calm me down.

What else has been going on? Well...I'm still playing the 'Grab My Foot' game.

How could I forget?! I'm also learning to read! My fave story is about a sheep. Funny that.

Mam and Dad say I need to get a passport in case they want to go away from Blackmill. (Why?). Now get this...I need to supply a photograph that will last on my passport for five years! How am I supposed to know what I'm going to look like in five years? That seems a bit daft to me but what do I know? I'm thinking of using this one but I still think my hair will be longer in the future. Does that matter on a passport?

And that's about it. I've had a great week at home with Mam and Dad. Dad's back to work tomorrow which would explain him looking a little sad tonight. I'd better sign off and try to cheer him up.

Thanks for reading. Catch you soon!
